Hello everyone! My name is Shelby. I am 24 years old and live in Wallingford, CT. I am currently a graduate student at Southern Connecticut State University working toward my Master’s degree in Social Work. I have over 5 years of experience working with children across multiple settings, primarily in a daycare and preschool environment with ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. I specialize in infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. I also have additional experience as a private babysitter. I am CPR and First Aid certified as well as medication administration certified. I am truly passionate about early childhood learning and love introducing basic foundational skills, including letter and number recognition, phonics, sight words, name writing, and early literacy concepts. I love to make learning engaging and fun! The most important thing for me as a child caregiver is having a warm, structured, and safe relationship with the children.
