About Emma

Hi! My name is Emma, and I’m a senior at Pepperdine University studying Philosophy and Political Science. I have several years of experience working with children and families, and caring for kids is something I genuinely enjoy. I recently worked as a Kids Team Supervisor at Lifetime Fitness, where I helped supervise and care for children ranging from infants to 14 years old. In this role, I have experience working with children at different developmental stages, managing groups, organizing activities, communicating with parents, and creating a safe and welcoming environment. I have also worked as a summer camp counselor and as a lifeguard/headguard, which has given me extensive experience with child safety, supervision, and handling unexpected situations calmly and responsibly. I am also CPR/First Aid and AED certified. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and am comfortable communicating with both children and parents in either language if preferred. I’m happy to help with homework, meals, bedtime routines, crafts, games, outdoor activities, and keeping children engaged and entertained. I’m also comfortable caring for infants and following specific routines, including nap schedules, feeding, and other family preferences. I would describe myself as responsible, patient, energetic, and dependable. I understand that every family has different routines and expectations, so I make it a priority to listen to parents and provide care that fits their family’s needs. As a college student, I’m also comfortable helping older children with homework and providing age-appropriate activities for children of all ages. I do not have my car in state with me, but I do have a clean driving record and am able to drive a family provided vehicle if needed. My goal is to make sure children feel safe, comfortable, and excited to spend time with me while giving parents peace of mind that their kids are in capable hands.
